Ingredients

When talking about clean beauty, we at Espressoh understand the trickiness of the topic: there is no recognized definition for what “clean” is. This means that, as of now, “clean product” as a marketing claim is not backed up by any law, each brand can make its own clean statement.

For Espressoh, being a clean brand implies following two fundamental principles: being transparent and being void of toxic ingredients. Transparency suggests that we are honest with ourselves and with others, we know better than trying to sell to our customers elusive and vague ideas of the business of “clean beauty”, we openly list ingredients for all our products on Espressoh e-shop. 'Non-toxic' suggests that we are fully aware of what goes into our products, thus we can guarantee their safety. According to EWG, all our formulas are free from hazardous ingredients, while coffee fragrance used is safely sourced from Sicily and added to the final product in minimal amounts.
 
Moreover, we never add fragrance to the products intended to contact the gentle skin of your face, so ABC concealer and Glassy blush are fragrance free. We are an Italian company, which means that our formulas are subject to strict EU regulations on cosmetics, meaning they are free from parabens, sulfates, formaldehydes and other harmful compounds.  

 

 


Production

All our products are 100% made in Italy. Thanks to this, we are able to keep our carbon footprint minimal while also supporting domestic economy. We try to work exclusively with Italian packaging suppliers in order to decrease the impact on the environment even further.

 

 

 

 

Sustainability 

In 2020 we achieved our first sustainability goal by eliminating plastic from all our secondary packaging, including delivery.

From March 2021 we became a carbon-neutral company, by offsetting our CO2 emissions with investments into reforestation in Cambodia, Peru, and Kenya. 

Additionally, when it comes to our ABC concealer and Intenso mascara, we include 30% more actual product per pack than an average market player, ensuring a more sustainable consumption.

 

 

  
Ethics

Like all European brands, Espressoh is cruelty-free! Following the decision of European Commission from 11th March 2009, animal testing on both finished products and ingredients is banned in EU, and we are happy to guarantee that our ingredients are sourced ethically.
